Stefanie is a philosopher, a mother and an artist. She has worked as a curator, dramaturg, and performer, established the label apparatus Berlin in 2014 and since 2015 she has been Prof. of Applied Theatre Studies at HfBK Dresden. In 2020 she began working with astrology as a tool for more than human dramaturgy.

Her long term artistic project is an Atlas of Cosmic Portraits in different media (text, performance, sculpture, painting, installation) working with narratives of entanglement between human and more than human bodies. Her current focus is on legends of becoming via narratives of the stars aka different suns. Dead Stars is a collection of stories and images working with a diverse range of imaginations of creation.

As a scholar she is researching on the question of the Enclosure of the Cosmos at different historical moments.

Her new book, Abolish Theater. A Cosmic Play. is forthcoming with Varamo Press 2027.
